Elizabeth Home will be hosting a book signing for “Mally’s Little Handbook: A Guide to Finding Your Joy Through My Designer Eyes” with the author Mally Skok on Wednesday, October 6th. This event will help kick off the rotating schedule of artists featured at Elizabeth Home each month. Prints of Mally’s illustrations, recreated by illustrator Sally Murphy, will be on sale during the event, as well as other Mally Skok goods. In lieu of Heading Home to Dinner, all proceeds from this event will go to Heading Home, a charity near and dear to both Elizabeth and Mally’s hearts.
About Mally:
Mally Skok is the founder of Mally Skok Design, an interior design firm specializing in private residences and small commercial projects. The firm was started in 1998 by Mally, whose design flair was acquired over many years living in London, Boston and South Africa. Mally’s decorating style is to layer the old with the new and add the unexpected. “Appropriate” is one of her key words in decorating. Now Mally is bringing her voice to Mally’s Little Handbook: A Guide to Finding Your Joy Through My Designer Eyes. This delightful book reads like a friendly chat, inspiring others to join Mally in her thinking through topics such as hosting overnight guest or navigating antique stores.
About Elizabeth:
What began in 2005 as a small interior design firm in Elizabeth’s basement has now grown into a stand-alone, multi-faceted, brick-and-mortar showroom. With a recently expanded footprint, Elizabeth Home not only offers interior design services to private clients, but also operates as a retail shop, coffee bar, art gallery, and florist (Petal & Press). The ever-changing landscape of affordable home accessories, emerging art, unique finds, and vintage furniture helps create an approachable atmosphere.
About Sally:
Sally Murphy is an illustrator and product designer. She lives and works outside of Boston with her husband and two children.
