2022 Spring Gala Celebration to benefit Lenox Hill Neighborhood House

About last week… thank you for the gorgeous pics of our table Derek Samuelson and @lenoxhillneighborhoodhouse – this event is an undertaking for sure, but so worth it when we see the reaction of the public to all our creativity Jenn Figge’s flowers created a magical fairy garden on our table and we could not be more grateful for the partnership. @figgefloral @mallyskokdesign @oka Photo cred Roberto Ricci D’Andonno

Mally Skok Design

New Beginnings of a Familiar Place

A collaboration between Mally Skok Design and Figge Floral The idea behind the table is the confirmation of old friendships rediscovered, old memories brought back to the surface, regrowth and rebirth, after a long time of quiet and reflection. Jenn Figge’s elaborate centerpiece will have the air of a garden that has been abandoned and has come back with vigor in the spring after a long, dark, winter. The floral centerpiece will be adorned with cherry blossom branches harvested by Jenn, and added to that, spring blooming foliage branches, and wisteria vine and moss, which will creep onto the table! Everything will be covered in Ivy and spring blooming bulbs. Heavenly!

Mally Skok designed the frilly tablecloth in a handscreened pattern, Windover, that she found wallpapered inside a cupboard in a client’s antique house in Cape Cod. The chair aprons are in ‘Nantucket’ in pink, from her new woven collection.

Mally was delighted to collaborate with OKA, an English brand that she has loved for many years, and that has now launched in Texas. The plates by OKA are designed by Adam Lippes and have an oldfashioned feel. They are the sort of crockery that you would find in the butler’s pantry of a wellappointed house in the English countryside. Adorned with flowers and butterflies, the plates are evocative of English country picnics in an early summer garden where all the ‘good’ things are taken outside for the occasion.
