Boston-based interior designer and textile/wallcovering artist Mally Skok brought her colorful style to the Langham Hotel Boston for the third of four 2018 Rohl Auth Lux Summits. A member of the Rohl Auth Lux Designer Guild, Skok served as co-host for the September 27th event along with Greg Rohl, vice president and design leader for House of Rohl.
More than 70 design pros from Boston proper, as well as the North and South Shores, attended the afternoon event. After enjoying a served New England–inspired luncheon, a series of CEU-approved presentations and panels on the topic of “Authentic Luxury” were shared. Panelists Martin Goebel of Goebel & Co. Furniture and Samantha Nestor of Chrysanthemum Partners explored the matter of original design and its importance to authentic luxury. Guest speaker Annsley McAleer of Annsley Interiors discussed the growing trend of residential designers being engaged in luxury boutique hospitality projects, and Drew Rust of Walker Zanger joined Skok and Rohl for a lively discussion about luxury bathroom design.
In addition to CEU credits, guests also received gift bags with custom jewelry trays created using Mally Skok Design fabric.
